
Bright Dairy-Free Basil Pesto Sauce
A vibrant, dairy-free pesto bursting with fresh basil, garlic, and pine nuts. Nutritional yeast adds a savory, cheesy flavor, making it perfect for tossing with pasta, drizzling on bowls, or spreading on toast.

Instructions
Step 1: Pulse the base
In a food processor, add the packed basil leaves, pine nuts, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, peeled garlic cloves and salt. Pulse in short bursts until finely chopped and combined.
Step 2: Stream in the oil
With the machine running on low, slowly pour in the olive oil through the feed tube until the pesto is smooth and emulsified. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and pulse again if needed.
Step 3: Taste and store
Taste and adjust the salt or lemon juice to your preference. Use right away, or refrigerate in an airtight jar with a thin layer of olive oil on top to prevent browning.
